As you may know, needy families and individuals in our community go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, age, gang violence, woman and child abuse, or divorce. While all of us are susceptible to hard times, children and the elderly are at the most risk, and they make up the largest number of clients we serve.
We are community activists from Bellville South standing together and making a difference in our neighbourhood through feeding the destitute, also empowering the underprivileged people and by providing opportunities and skills training and leadership in order to improve their chances to develop and sustain self-reliance. We intend to make a much needed positive impact on disadvantaged communities through various programmes that will bring about a better society to live within for young and old.
With the generous support of people such as yourself, we will be able to help many of these families and individuals not only to meet essential daily needs, through our feeding scheme, but to work toward a brighter future with programs in job training, education, counselling, elderly assistance, and youth leadership.
To further the work we do in the community, we appeal to all to support us with any form of donation be it clothing, stationary, equipment, money, jobs, toys. Every little bit helps those less fortunate who have fewer options than those who have access, privilege and resources.

Evelyn Swanepoel,
Director
Evelyn Swanepoel started the Bellville South Youth Pool Club. They are star players and have won almost every tournament they entered. She feeds the hungry children, seniors and unemployed from her soup kitchen in Cupido Street. People come from all over the neighbourhood to her to help solve their problems. She has a heart of gold. She volunteered with the Walking Bus Ladies to ensure children get safely to school over busy streets and they accompany women through fields to public transport to get safely to work.
